at World Food Championships

(WFC) in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Beginning with TWO online recipe contest, Jam/Jelly and Chow Chow,

which will qualify ten talented cooks to compete

for a sweet cash prize at the world's

Ultimate Food Fight, November 8th, 2024.

Biscuits and Jampionship 

Presented by The Jelly Queens 

 

The Jelly Queens are bringing "Biscuits and Jampionship" back to crown the next Jelly Queen or King at the World Food Championships (WFC) in Indianapolis, IN. This online recipe contest will qualify ten talented cooks to compete for a sweet cash prize at the world's Ultimate Food Fight in November 2024 at Fall Creek Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, IN. 

 

How to Enter: 

Round 1: 

  1. Submit your original biscuit & jam recipe by emailing it to donna@thejellyqueens.com by August 20, 2024.* 

  1. The year’s Biscuit Challenge is a Breaded Pork Tenderloin Biscuit with Chow Chow and a savory jelly or jam. 

  • Required ingredients: 

  • Chef Nikky Sauces any sauce may be included any way competitor chooses for a Bonus Bucks Prize 

         

  1. In addition to emailing your recipe, you are required to mail the following to [The Jelly Queens, 2406 Berry Grove Court, Melissa, Texas 75454

by 6:00pm, August 20, 2024:* 

  • Two (2) jars of your savory jam/jelly recipe in Fillmore Container Jars 

  • Jars must be labeled on the bottom with your name. No other identifying marks should be made on the jars. 

  • Your original biscuit recipe, printed 

  • Biscuit recipe must include all required ingredients listed above 

  • Receipts from purchases of all required ingredients 

*Entries must be received at the above address by August 20, 2024. You will receive an email confirmation from Donna Collins within 24 hours of your entry being received. 

 

The top 20 semi-finalists will move to Round 2. Semi-Finalists will be notified of their advancement on August 26, 2024. 

 

Round 2: 

 

  1. Submit your original sweet chow chow recipe by emailing it to donna@thejellyqueens.com by September 25, 2024.* 

*You will receive an email confirmation from Donna Collins within 24 hours of your entry being received. 

 

  1. In addition to emailing your sweet chow chow recipe, you are required to mail two (2) jars of your sweet chow chow in Fillmore Container Jars to [The Jelly Queens, 2406 Berry Grove Court, Melissa, Texas 75454] by September 25 2024.* 

  • Jars must be labeled on the bottom with your name. No other identifying marks should be made on the jars. 

*Entries must be received at this address by September 25th. You will receive an email confirmation from Donna Collins within 24 hours of your entry being received. 

 

The 10 finalists will be notified of their advancement on October 1, 2024. 

 

Judging: 

  • Local E.A.T.™ certified judges will conduct a small judging event at The Jelly Queens’ facility to review all Round 1 recipe submissions and determine the top 20 competitors that will move on to Round 2. 

  • Local E.A.T.™ certified judges will conduct a second judging event at The Jelly Queens’ facility to review all Round 2 recipe submissions and determine the 10 finalists who will compete live at WFC 2024. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prizes: 

 

The top 10 finalists will advance to the finale event where they will face off in the Biscuits and Jampionship competition at the 2024 World Food Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana! 

1st Place: $2,000 in cash 

 

2nd Place: $400 in cash 

 

3rd Place: $300 in cash 

 

Bonus Bucks: $200 in cash  

 

  • You do not have to be registered to compete at WFC’s Main Event to enter this contest. 

  • All top 10 finalists will be required to make one social media post between November 20, 2024 and December 31, 2024, showing their finished dish and thanking all sponsors. The Jelly Queens will provide competitors with approved photos and content. Contest prizes will be withheld upon failure to make a post.

The Top 20 entries will move to the Round 2 Semi-Finals.
